Interview
Francesco joined the programmatic industry almost by chance, but quickly developed a passion for the fast-paced world of ad tech. Now stepping into the supply side, he is excited to gain a deeper understanding of the publisher ecosystem while continuing to do what he enjoys most: building relationships and creating opportunities. In this interview, Francesco shares his perspective on business development, communication, and the value of always listening and learning.
Answer: As many of us, by chance. My previous company RTB House, was looking for someone to support Spanish, Italian, French, and UK markets, so they hired me mostly because I spoke the languages 😀
A: I guess I will find out! As of now, what I can say is that I am happy to have the chance to be “on the other side,” better understanding the publishers’ world as well.
A: Again, I will be finding out soon. For now, what I believe is that every sale is a psychological and emotional moment, so my advice and strategy is consistently the same: listen, learn, communicate, and always use a personal touch.
A: Ideally, my typical day at work would start with checking the latest industry news, then checking my emails, taking notes to establish tasks and priorities, checking recently launched deals to see how they are performing, research new deals. The tools I liked using most in my career are Similarweb and Apptopia. I also like using new CRMs and finding new tricks and features to use and customize.
A: It depends, usually around 10 to 20. It depends on how large my prospecting clients’ portfolio is.
A: At work, possibly Google Sheets. In my personal life, YouTube and WhatsApp.
A: Stretching/Exercise, shower, food, couch, and YouTube survival shelter building videos 😀
A: I always wanted to have an underwater glasshouse in a tropical place… Maybe that ;P
