Let’s meet Linh Le Phuong to learn more about how a Supply New Business team works on a daily basis and how it prepares in advance for the future of the industry.

Question: How did you get into the programmatic industry?

Answer: I started my first job in the programmatic industry back in 2013 when I was working as a supply media consultant for a Japanese SSP.

Q: What is the best part of being a Team Leader?

A: To be able to support the team members achieve their goals professionally and growing personally. As a team, we grow along with the vision of the company and it’s always nice to see that our contribution is a part of it.

Q: Could you list some leadership tips?

A: Understand your leadership style, communication is key, being constructive when giving feedback, etc.

Q: What skills do you look for in the people for your team?

A: Communication skills, negotiation skills, and soft skills like proactiveness, self-motivation, and patience.

Q: How do you motivate your team to achieve the best results?

A: I believe one can achieve things beyond their limits if they feel valued with frequent encouragement and have a clear goal and vision.

Q: Tell us about a successful result achieved as a team and how did you get it.

A: Despite all the changes related to the organization during the year, the Supply New Business team has been always keeping our focus and overachieving our Team goals continuously. Having quality people who are hard-working, proactive, and always supportive to each other are the key elements to achieving great team results.

Q: What do you expect from the future of the industry? What needs to be improved?

A: We have seen AdTech go through lots of changes over the years, and this is how the ad tech industry finds itself right now. There are always new solutions that left publishers, brands, agencies, and tech platforms scratching their heads as they try to understand. New business models will appear, maybe with the growing influence of AI and blockchain. Transparency has become fundamental for brands and publishers to generate good returns on ads, so I expect this to be improved in the future.

Q: Do you have any idea how many emails you send per day?

A: 20-25 emails per day, plus Slack and video meetings.

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: Slack and Whatsapp.

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: Pet my cat.

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: Share it with my family, travel, and invest.
