Interview
Francisco Lozano is Head of Product at PlayOnContent, our video generation and monetization platform that offers custom and easy-to-implement solutions to grow online audiences and boost advertising revenues. We chat deeply about challenges and success stories in the industry.
Answer: For years I worked on TVs and designing sets, later they offered me the opportunity to enter the online video sector and I’ve been on the road for 8 years.
A: The general vision of the publisher’s needs and the idea of creating strategies and new products. But above all, the best thing is to achieve results for the publisher and your own company.
A: You have to be an all-rounder, know a bit of HTML, a bit of advertising, a bit of video, and, above all, have a good relationship with people.
A: Well, the best thing is achieving the publisher’s happiness. Especially when you start from scratch and get a stable client for a long time. In my case, an example of a good relationship is one of 6 years long we have with a well-known newspaper in Spain.
A: I basically work with the playoncdenter.com platform. I check daily results, make sure that the tech platform works if there were any incidents and then attend to the communications with publishers. I coordinate a little the things that are pending with my colleagues, check with the video producers that there are no errors and if there are, correct them. I also have to make sure that all the videos from suppliers are in order and do all of this work for both Spanish and Latam markets, plus coordinate with my colleagues from other countries as well.
A: Programmatic has changed the industry a lot and there is a lack of direct connections that are much more profitable and less complicated to manage. But I understand that every year there is progress in technology and that is good. Anyway, there is still an important part of the very important humane approach, which reassures me about the future.
A: Around 20 more or less.
A: WhatsApp, Slack, and Skype.
A: Talk to my family, watch some sitcoms, and help at home. There is no time for much else.
A: I’m retiring! I’m nearing the end of my career and I’m tired. I hope it touches me… hahahaha.
