Question: How did you get into the programmatic industry?

Answer: I entered the programmatic industry more than ten years ago while studying Marketing at university. I was looking for a job to pay for my studies when I stumbled upon a programmatic advertising company. I wasn’t entirely sure what it entailed at that time, but I needed employment and was eager to learn. We only monetized websites; in-app or CTV monetization didn’t exist yet.

Q: What is the best part of being a Senior Business Developer?

A: A Business Developer has the opportunity to drive meaningful growth and impact for the company and its clients, which is certainly rewarding. However, the best aspect of my job lies in the opportunity to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, speak various languages, and embrace different cultures worldwide. Of course, I also like the challenge of persuading people to adopt our services.

Q: Could you list some tips for becoming a good Senior Business Developer? What are the essential skills needed in your job?

A: A good Business Developer should possess strong communication and negotiation skills and a deep understanding of market trends. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners is crucial, so being trustworthy is also key. However, in this industry, resilience in the face of challenges and tolerance for frustration are must-have qualities.

Q: How do you organize your day? What tools do you use, and which are your favorite?

A: I organize my day by prioritizing tasks based on their urgency and importance. I use a combination of management tools like Hubspot and also as calendar apps like Google Calendar to schedule meetings and appointments.

Q: Do you have any idea how many emails you send per day?

A: On average, I send around 50 emails per day, depending on my workload and the number of ongoing projects and communications I have at any given time.

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: The app I use the most in my daily life is probably Slack, followed closely by email and calendar apps for communication and organization purposes.

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: After finishing work, I usually handle routine tasks like grocery shopping, sorting personal paperwork, and cleaning the house. However, I always make sure to allocate some time for more fulfilling activities, such as meeting up with friends or spending quality time with my boyfriend and family. I also enjoy practicing sports, attending pottery classes, or going to music concerts.

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: If I won the lottery, I would first buy a house for myself and my parents so we could be closer (they live in Argentina while I am in Spain).

I would also love to travel extensively, but I believe the most prudent decision would be to carefully plan how to manage and invest the money wisely to ensure long-term financial security for myself and my loved ones.

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

A: When I moved to Spain, I had some hilarious encounters with the language. Despite the fact that in my home country, we also speak Spanish, I soon discovered that certain words can carry entirely different meanings depending on where you are. And some of those different meanings could be a little bit embarrassing. Even after six years of living here, I still encounter occasional funny misunderstandings. It’s all part of the learning experience!
