CEO at Taproom
Interview
Let us introduce you David Cremades, CEO at Taproom, our global interactive and mobile-first company that offers casual, hypercasual, and fantasy manager games.
He likes to know everything that’s going on inside the company and be available for every single employee to help when they need it. So, if you are interested in joining this great adventure in gaming industry, David will be there to help you!
Answer: It was just by a coincidence! We had a web agency at that time and we had the opportunity to develop a web-based game that was surprisingly a success! From that moment on, we have been focused on this hectic industry.
A: I guess that it is to know about everything that it’s happening in the company and try to guide all the employees in the right direction to drive the company to the point we want.
A: I guess that there are different leadership styles out there… My style (it does not have to be the better) is to empathize with employees. They have to feel that I’m always keen to help everyone. I’m the first involved in the success of the projects.
A: Implication. In this crazy industry where things change every month, it is not so important your previous knowledge but how implicated you are with what’s happening right now and try to improve!
A: Trying to talk to them very often. Being transparent with what we’re looking for and how it’s going on in the company. Listening to them.
A: We have achieved work with many official licenses since we created the company. That has been thanks to the effort of everyone, from the one in charge of our communities to the person dealing with the different associations to sign the agreements.
A: Industry is evolving all the time and it’s almost impossible to predict what it will look like in 6 months… but I would like not to be so dependent on Google and Apple, our two main distribution channels.
A: Hahaha, that is a good question… Sometimes I feel that my main task is sending emails…. I don’t know…. Maybe 20-30… They are too many but I have to say that writing some of them takes me more than an hour!
A: Spotify, Webull… and WhatsApp & Instagram, although I’m trying to use them the less the better.
A: I work from home so that situation never happens!! Hahaha… What I usually do to disconnect is to practice sports! I love it. Besides that, I also play guitar to relax… I’m not good at it but I feel good!
A: Travel more and further!
