Noemi Szilagyi

Supply Business Developer

Interview

Meet Noemi, our new SSP Business Developer at Tappx! She entered the programmatic world in 2020, turning her Hungarian-English skills into a career advantage. Persistent, creative, and client-focused, she’s passionate about building strong partnerships and driving growth. When she’s not connecting with new prospects, you’ll find her swimming, at the beach, or in the gym. We’re excited to have her energy and expertise on board! 🚀

Question: How did you get into the programmatic industry?

Answer:

In 2020, when COVID first started out, I was looking for a new professional opportunity that would allow me to work online.

Browsing among jobs on LinkedIn, I came across one where my language and communication skills came in handy – they were looking for a Hungarian-English speaker to approach the Hungarian market! It was the first time ever that speaking Hungarian was a real added value in a job position, and luckily I was hired and could start in this industry.

Q: What is the best part of being a Supply Business Developer?

A: That it is easier than being a Demand Business Developer – at least that is what they say 😛
Jokes aside, I like a challenge and seek and initiate new business partnerships.

Q: Could you list some tips for becoming a good Supply Business Developer? What are the essential skills needed in your job?

A: Research your potential client as much as you can and try to think with their head: highlight how they could benefit from working with you. Then, be insistent, do not get demotivated, and stay creative when contacting a person and what you tell them.

Q: How do you organize your day? What tools do you use, and which are your favorite?

A: I start with a coffee ritual, sipping it slowly while I go through my inbox, sort my emails in order of priority, and get ready for the day’s tasks. I often use LinkedIn for industry news and scouting for new potential clients.

Q: Do you have any idea how many emails you send per day?

A: It depends on the day, but I have never counted them. I always say quality over quantity.

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: WhatsApp and Spotify, Gmail of course, and SMOU (although I hate it 😂).

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: Go for a swim and hang out on the beach or go to the gym because if I don’t go first thing, I just don’t go 😀

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: Invest it all in adTech.
