Blanca Boncompte is our SSP Director at Tappx. She is in charge of coordinating the different teams to meet project deadlines. Let’s meet Blanca and her day to day life in this interview.

Question: How did you get into the programmatic industry?

Answer: I’ve been working in digital marketing for more than 10 years in different positions but it was in Tappx when I started working in the programmatic part after working with direct publishers of the industry.

Q: What is the best part of being a Product Manager?

A: Work with almost every department in the company. I can learn a lot about different subjects.

Q: Could you list some tips to become a good PM? What are the essential skills needed in your job?

A: I’m really new to this position inside the company. However, I think one of the best tips is knowing how to listen to the different colleagues who are working on a product. As a Product Manager, you must be empathetic and push tasks as well so that they come out on time.

Q: Tell us about a recent reliable success story or job goal you’re proud of.

A: I am very proud of the way the company is growing and seeing that products that were somewhat stopped begin to take off.

Q: How do you organize your day? What tools do you use and which of them are your favorite ones?

A: I usually work a lot with Google Calendar and Google tasks to have everything connected and start my day with a clear roadmap.

Q: What do you expect from the future of the industry? What needs to be improved?

A: I think we are in an important moment in which users’ privacy is becoming more important every day and the clients want to show their ads to their target. For that reason, I think that Tappx is working in the right way to become an important partner for clients interested in being connected to their users.
On the other hand, as people are being more over-informed through many different devices, adaptation to the continuous changes in the ecosystem we work in is very important as well.

Q: Do you have any idea how many emails you send per day?

A: I prefer not to count them… LOL.

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: WhatsApp!

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: Turn off all the screen devices for a while and have face-to-face conversations.

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: I will answer this question from a paradisiac island when that happens 😉.
