In Tappx we keep growing and, therefore, we are looking for new talented people to join our Performance Tech team in our IT department.

As a Senior Java Backend Developer you will:

• Participate in the entire applications life cycle with focus on coding and debugging.
• Write clean and maintainable code of high quality accomplishing estimated hours and due dates.
• Offer Technical support to the Performance department.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.
• Collect technical needs and design requirements.
• Identify new needs and propose solutions to improve our applications.
• Learn about technologies different than Java existing in our tech stack.
• Measure the impact of new features, interpret key metrics and collaborate with the data team for data-driven decision making.
• Deeply understand the business you are working with.

In line with the EU Pay Transparency Directive, we are committed to sharing our compensation framework openly. For this Mid-level position, the salary range is €30,000 – €42,000 gross per year, structured across three internal levels that reflect different degrees of skills, autonomy, and impact. Where a candidate sits within this range will be determined by our technical team through the assessment process — evaluating both hard skills and overall fit. There are no tricks here: the band is real, and the conversation will be honest.
We are open to negotiating if the candidate exceeds our mid-level criteria and qualifies for a senior role, but the position is currently open for a mid-level candidate.

We are looking for if you have:

• 2-3+ years of experience as Backend Developer.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing in Java, Spring and MySQL.

Desirable:

• Medium knowledge of Git.
• Basic knowledge of Linux.
• Basic knowledge of Docker.
• Basic knowledge of Kafka
• Basic Knowledge of AGILE tools (such as Jira).
