Sara González

Demand Account Manager

Interview

Meet Sara, Demand Account Manager at Tappx! With over a decade of experience in digital marketing, she’s seen programmatic grow from the ground up, and now she’s putting that expertise to work helping clients succeed. Organized, detail-oriented, and always thinking one step ahead, Sara brings logic, creativity, and a love for client success to everything she does. When the laptop closes, you’ll find her walking, reading, or greeting her cat before a well-deserved TV show binge.

Question: How did you get into the programmatic industry?

Answer: I entered the digital marketing industry around 2011 and saw the rise and growth of programmatic from early on, so it was a natural path to end up working 100% inside the programmatic industry.

Q: What is the best part of being a Demand Account Manager?

A: Getting to help our clients and supporting lasting and profitable partnerships over time.

Q: Could you list some tips for becoming a good Demand Account Manager? What are the essential skills needed in your job?

A: Good attention to detail and logical reasoning are the best skills to get you started, but being innovative when it comes to thinking about solutions or new opportunities to grow would probably make you even better!

Q: How do you organize your day? What tools do you use, and which are your favorite?

A: In terms of organization, I try to keep it simple; notes, to-do lists, and a clean calendar are my best friends.

Q: Do you have any idea how many emails you send per day?

A: I’m still landing on the role, but emails are always a daily routine, so a lot!

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: Spotify!

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: The very first thing entering my home is greet my cat, and then I go for a walk or just chill on the sofa while reading. I try to have some daily time away from screens after work (but sometimes I just need to catch up with my TV shows or video games!)

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: Depending on the quantity, if we’re talking millions, I’d buy a small town near the sea and build houses for some of my friends and me, and we’d live off the land and host eco-conscious tourists from time to time. If it’s not that much, I’d travel a bit and try to buy a house.

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself

A: I’m a tiny bit of a keyboard dyslexic, so I have more than a couple of stories where some word was not meant to be in a work email at all. Fortunately, it never got me in any trouble. Usually, people just laugh it off, or they don’t acknowledge it.
