Interview
IT experts, Gabriel Molina is your guy. He’s the IT talent recruiter for Techsoulogy and would be the first person you’d talk to if you were interested in working with us. To give you and the rest of the readers some clues about him, keep reading the whole interview.
Answer: Honestly, I didn’t know about the programmatic industry until I was contacted by Tappx. From that moment on, I researched the company and the sector in which it operates.
A: Dealing with people, both internally and externally. We have an impact on people’s happiness.
A: From my point of view, to be a good TS, among other things, is to be natural, to humanize the hiring process (it is not about checking whether or not you meet specific requirements, it is not a shopping list), to build trust with the person and, of course, to give a positive image (maybe this is not the right time for the candidate, but in the future, it will be).
I would suggest that the following skills are essential:
And many more, we would never finish!
A: In Tappx, given the growth of the last years, we always have new recent hires hahah.
One of the aspects that makes me feel proud, as a TS, is when a not hired candidate gives you positive feedback, and further on in time you keep having contact and participate again in a process. Regardless of the outcome, it is a clear sign of a job well done.
A recent case that makes you feel proud is, for example, a candidate who, after reaching the final stage of the hiring process, despite not being hired, gave positive feedback on how the process had been managed, the communication, and the treatment received.
She commented that it was one of the best hiring processes she had ever participated in.
A: At an organizational level it is important to have everything documented and structured and, if possible, in a visual way to have the overall scheme of your work. When managing different projects and having contact with many people, is a way of not getting lost in it.
Among the different tools or platforms I use, I mainly mention the ones that allow me to have general contact with candidates, our ATS, LinkedIn Recruiter, Gmail, and Google Meet. In addition to these, Trello and Excel also form part of my day-to-day life.
A: As for the programmatic industry, we expect changes in the future, due to the improvement of user privacy, although surely someone else will be able to help you more than me with this question.
Concerning human resources and recruitment, for some years now the trend in the sector has been to place people at the center of the organization, developing a series of improvements in companies that produce significant changes. There is still a lot of potential for improvement in reconciling work and family life.
A: This is data that varies depending on the week, due to the need for other projects or meetings and interviews, but the daily estimate is around 20 LinkedIn messages and a similar number of emails per day.
A: LinkedIn, no doubt about it!
A: I love to take time out for a coffee and a mid-afternoon snack. Once I’ve had some rest, sport is a must.
A: Traveling around the world is, without a doubt, what I would most like to do.
