Carmen Abril Villalba

Carmen Abril is «the mother» of many of us here at Tappx. She is in charge of general tasks in our Barcelona office and knows a lot of stories about the team. So let’s get to know her.

Question: Tell us about your day to day life at Tappx. What is the best part?

Answer: I like dealing with all the colleagues. In general there are very nice people.

Q: What are the essential skills needed in your job?

A: Stay calm… I try to be very organized, but some days are complicated haha.

Q: How are the Tappx people doing in the office? Are they organized and super nice?

A: Well, I guess like everywhere… there is everything, but I think that, in general, they are nice. 🙂

Q: How many amusing anecdotes can you tell?

A: I feel a bit like the mother of many of my colleagues, but I like it… There are many who even ask me for advice.

Q: Do you have any idea how many times you have to repeat the same instructions until you are listened to?

A: They say there is no worse deaf person than the one who doesn’t want to hear… Countless times.

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: WhatsApp.

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: I listen to music … A lot of Joaquín Sabina or José Luis Perales basically, contact my children to see how their day is going… I always try to meet up with a friend.

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: Honolulu here I come! I’ve been saying it for a long time, I don’t know if I’m looking forward to it, but it sounds really nice to say «I’m going to Honolulu»!

Q: And when will you cook us again some of your delicious dishes?

A: When the boss tells me, but I think it would be very difficult now, when we ate there we were a maximum of 25 people, now it would be more than 100!! There is no infrastructure prepared for that.

Q: Tell us something fun about yourself.
