Interview

Although new to the programmatic world, Albert Cusidó has quickly developed a strong curiosity and enthusiasm for understanding how it all works. As a Data Analyst, he plays a key role in helping different teams make sense of complex information, turning data into insights that drive better decisions across the company. In this interview, Albert shares what excites him about diving into programmatic for the first time, why curiosity and communication are essential in his role, and how his day-to-day work combines technical expertise with a constant desire to learn.

Question: How did you get into the programmatic industry?

Answer: To be honest, I’m new to this world! When Gabriel from our People team reached out to me, I had no knowledge about this part of the industry. I found programmatic bidding fascinating from the start.

Q: What is the best part of being a Data Analyst?

A: I guess the best part is staying in the loop with everything going on in the company. As analysts, we get contacted to analyze the current situation of various departments, which allows me to learn a lot about the business on a day-to-day basis.

Q: Could you list some tips for becoming a good Data Analyst? What are the essential skills needed in your job?

A: I guess the essential quality for being a good analyst is genuine curiosity. If you’re truly interested in what you’re looking into, and you have the drive to find the answers to the questions you’re asked, it’s only a matter of time before you become a good Data Analyst. Curiosity alone isn’t enough in this job, though. You need strong communication skills and the ability to define the problem and the solution for a wide variety of non-technical profiles.

Q: How do you organize your day? What tools do you use, and which are your favorite?

A: The day starts with a meeting with the Data team. We discuss the work done over the previous days and map out the analyses or tasks to tackle today and in the days ahead. The tools I use the most are: SQL with BigQuery to pull the data, Python Notebooks with Colab Enterprise to clean and analyze it, Looker to create and edit dashboards, and Google Docs to write up the analysis reports.

Q: Do you have any idea how many emails you send per day?

A: The day is full of emails and Slack messages; communication is essential for good teamwork.

Q: What is the app you use the most in your daily life?

A: Spotify, definitely! I always listen to music while doing almost any task in my free time.

Q: What is the first thing you do when you get home and disconnect from work?

A: I like to go skateboarding while the sun is still out, or play padel or tennis with my friends.

Q: What would you do if you won the lottery?

A: To start with, I would grab my backpack and go traveling for a while!

Q: Tell us a fun fact about yourself
